2026 Locals+ Qualifier Entry Info

RACE DAYS: Saturday & Sunday March 14 & 15, 2026

There are 2 different types of entrants for the 2026 Locals+ Qualifier:


#1: Locals Qualifier entrants

Categories: Amateur, Masters, Mid Masters and Grand Masters between the ages of 16 – 59 (age is determined by how old you will be on February 4, 2027), racing in a male or female category and fit the Local Eligibility requirements (see below).
Qualification for 2027 LBS: At least the top 3 placers in category will qualify for a spot in the 2027 Legendary Banked Slalom.

Local Eligibility:
a) Have a valid 2025-26 Mt. Baker Season Pass (must upload a photo of pass for proof)
OR
b) Do not have a pass, but currently live and have ID with an address in Whatcom County, Skagit County, San Juan County and Island County, or in the Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack or White Rock areas. (must upload a photo of current Driver’s License for proof)

Registration this year will be online and will require an upload of an image of either your current Mt. Baker Season Pass or ID for proof.


#2: Next Generation, Juniors, Super Masters, Gender Non-Conforming / Variety & Para-Snowboard Qualifier entrants

Any Location: Registration for these categories is open to anyone worldwide. Local Status is NOT required.
Qualification for 2027 LBS: at least the top 3 placers in each category will qualify for the 2027 LBS.
Age Range: determined by how old the racer will be on Feb. 4, 2027 (the first day of the 2027 LBS)
Next Generation Category: Between the ages of 8 – 12 and racing in a male or female category. This qualifier is the only entry method for the Legendary Banked Slalom for Next Gen.
Juniors Category: Between the ages of 13 – 15 and racing in a male or female category.
Super Masters Category: ages 60+, Open gender (male and female race together). If there are 4 or more registrants in each gender, this category will be split into separate gender categories. This qualifier is the only entry method for the Legendary Banked Slalom for Super Masters.
Variety: age 8+, for anyone under the umbrella of identifying as gender non-conforming including but not limited to, agender, gender fluid, bi-gender, other-gendered, non gender, non-binary. If you have questions about this category please feel free to contact us for clarification. If there are 4 or more registrants in an age range, we will split the category into two or more age categories.
Para-Snowboard Category: ages 8+, Open gender (male and female race together), registrants must meet IPC eligibility requirements. If there are 4 or more registrants in either age or gender, the Para-Snowboard category will be split into 2 or more gender or age range categories.

HOW TO REGISTER

REGISTRATION OPENS FEBRUARY 14, 2026

ENDS: Feb. 23 or when a category cap has been reached, whichever comes first.

ENTRY FEE: $50 (includes custom art t-shirt)

FOR ALL REGISTRANTS:

REGISTRATION: is through Webscorer, an online event registration site, and requires payment by Credit Card, Debit Card or PayPal.
AGE CATEGORY: determined by racer’s age on February 4, 2027 (the first day of the 2027 Legendary Banked Slalom)
CATEGORY QUANTITIES & WAITING LIST: Each category will be capped at a certain quantity of racers. Once a category cap is reached, Webscorer will automatically put additional registrants on a Waiting List in the order received. On Feb. 23rd, any spots that have not been filled in other categories will be released to categories with waiting lists and spots will be filled automatically from the waiting lists.
RELEASE AGREEMENT: all entrants (or parent/guardians for minor registrants) are required to sign the online release agreement in order to be entered and able to race in the Locals+ Qualifier. You will find a link to the agreement in your registration confirmation email, and we will also post a link here during registration. If you do not complete the online release agreement by March 1st, your entry will be refunded and cancelled and your spot will be given to the next racer on the waiting list.

LOCALS QUALIFIER REGISTRANTS
Amateur, Masters, Mid Masters & Grand Masters categories: during the online registration process, you will be required to upload a photo of your valid, current Mt. Baker season pass OR your ID proving residence in either Whatcom County, Skagit County, San Juan County and Island County, or in the Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack or White Rock areas. Get your photo ready NOW so it is ready to upload on Feb. 14th. Photo format: jpg, max file size 5 mb.
