2026 Locals+ Qualifier Entry

In recent weeks, we’ve been hoping for a turnaround in the condition of the Natural Halfpipe, where the Locals+ Qualifier course is located. While we’ve received new snowfall and conditions have improved, the course location is still not in shape to handle the number of runs required for a full Locals Qualifier.

With the 37th LBS postponed until February 2027 and racer lists already full and finalized for 2027, there are no available spots to qualify. With that consideration, and without a race-ready course, the 2026 Locals Qualifier is therefore officially cancelled.

The good news is that snow coverage conditions on the rest of the mountain are very good! This is a somewhat unique year, where temperatures and precipitation patterns have combined so that areas that are drainages/creek areas in the summer have experienced more melt and less snow base buildup than the rest of the mountain. The Natural Halfpipe is one of those areas, so while the race course is not yet filled in, the rest of the mountain is in great shape for skiing and riding and the forecast for the near future is favorable.

In the spirit of bringing the community together that weekend, we will host Night Skiing with lights on Chair 7, set up rails from the FFZ on the White Salmon Handle Tow and have extended food and beverage service. Please check the website for a full schedule and Night Skiing event schedule and operation details.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the mountain!
